About Linsay
I am a holistic Licensed Mental Health Counselor, #8116, in the state of Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, #5538, in the state of California, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Hawaii, an occupied-kingdom, #MHC-934. I am a member of the California Association for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors and the Hawaii Counselors Association. I received a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University. In 2005, I was trained as a Reiki volunteer to work with patients of Hartford Hospital and later with Boston Center for Living serving people with HIV. My somatic and integrative approach is influenced by 10 years working with a holistic wellness clinic as a Reiki Therapist with chiropractors, acupuncturists, and clinical massage therapists. My trauma-informed approach is influenced by 20+ years of practicing yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, with over 60 days of residential retreat practice. I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher and trained with Richard Curtin, PsyD in Psychotherapeutic Reiki. I worked in community mental health residential treatment, partial hospital, and outpatient clinics, a college counseling center, a holistic wellness clinic, an organic ingredients startup, and primary care mindfulness research. Aside from work with people, I worked with animal shelters and provided pet-assisted therapy through the Humane Society. I love creating community, music, dance, hiking, open water swimming, and free diving. I believe in reconnecting people to themselves, others, and the earth to decolonize systems of oppression.
