About Linsay

I am a holistic Licensed Mental Health Counselor, #8116, in the state of Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, #5538, in the state of California. I am a member of the California Association for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors. I received a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University. In 2005, I was trained as a Reiki volunteer to work with patients of Hartford Hospital and later with Boston Center for Living serving people living with HIV. My Somatic approach is influenced by 9 years working with a holistic wellness clinic as a Reiki Therapist with chiropractors, acupuncturists, and clinical massage therapists. Influenced by 20 years of practicing yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, I bring a trauma-informed, mind/body approach to counseling. I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher and trained with Richard Curtin, PsyD in Psychotherapeutic Reiki. I worked in community mental health residential treatment, partial hospital, and outpatient clinics, a college counseling center, a holistic wellness clinic, an organic ingredients startup, and primary care mindfulness research. Aside from work with people, I have volunteered with animal shelters off and on since I was a teen and did an independent study providing pet therapy with the CT Humane Society. I love the ocean and dance and have swam with Humpback whales and dolphins.
